How to Use the HOA My Way Homeowner Portal
HOA My Way brings many of your everyday HOA tasks together in one convenient place.
Depending on the features your association uses, your Homeowner Portal can help you view account information, make payments, submit requests, review documents, communicate with your HOA, receive community updates, participate in voting, and more.
Once logged in, open User Settings from the upper-right corner or sidebar and select Profile.
From your profile, you can update information such as:
- Profile name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Profile image
If your mailing address is different from your property address, you can manage that separately under Property Settings.
Once logged in, go to:
User Settings → Notification Subscriptions
Here, you can manage available notification preferences and how you receive community information.
Notification options may include:
- Text
- Homeowner Portal notifications
You can also select the bell icon in the upper-right corner of the portal to view current notifications based on your subscriptions.
These may include community events, board meeting information, and other updates published through your association.
Open Property Settings to manage property-specific information.
Mailing Address
Add or change your mailing address if it is different from your property address.
Mail Delivery
Manage available delivery preferences for communications such as owner statements, compliance letters, and other HOA mail.
HOA My Way provides account security options within User Settings.
Change Your Password
Open Account Security to update your password.
Set Up Two-Factor Authentication
Go to:
User Settings → Additional Authentication
From there, you can add an additional layer of security using a primary and secondary authentication method.
Your association may make a Homeowner Directory available to residents.
To control what information you share, go to:
Property Settings → Homeowner Directory Sharing
Select the information you would like to make available and choose the option to Share this Information with other Homeowners.
Directory participation is optional, so not every homeowner may appear in your community’s directory.
HOA Payments & Billing
Once logged in, your Balance Summary on the Home Dashboard provides a quick overview of your HOA account.
From here, you may be able to see:
- Current account balance
- Last payment received
- Next assessment due
- Pending payments
You can also access options to make a payment and review your account activity.
Once you’re logged into your Homeowner Portal, you can access payment options from the Balance Summary on your Home Dashboard or select Billing from the sidebar.
The Billing section provides a more detailed view of your HOA account and available payment options.
Yes. Once logged in, open Billing from the sidebar. The Billing section includes the option to set up recurring payments.
You can also manage available payment methods from this area.
Open Billing from the portal sidebar to review your HOA billing information and account activity.
Your account ledger can also be saved as a PDF for your records.
If multiple properties or units are associated with your account, use the property or address selector to switch between them.
Be sure you are viewing the correct property before completing property-specific tasks such as making a payment.

Architectural Requests
Planning an exterior modification or another property change that requires HOA approval?
Once logged in, open Architectural Control from the Homeowner Portal sidebar.
You can submit your architectural application and attach supporting materials such as documents and photos.
After submitting your request, you can return to the Architectural Control section to review your application. Once a decision has been made, you can also view the voting results associated with the approval or denial.
Before You Submit
Requirements vary by association, so review your community’s governing documents and architectural guidelines before beginning a project.
These may explain:
- Which changes require approval
- What documents or plans you need to submit
- Community design requirements
- Other architectural rules that apply to your property
Work Orders & Maintenance Requests
If you notice a maintenance or repair issue that needs your HOA’s attention, log in to your Homeowner Portal and select Work Order Requests from the sidebar.
You can create a work order for your board to review and provide supporting information.
The portal allows you to attach photos and include a community GPS location when helpful.
Your board can then review the request and determine the appropriate next step.
HOA Violations
Once logged in, select Violations from the Homeowner Portal sidebar to review available information associated with a compliance violation.
Depending on the violation, you may see:
- Details about the issue
- Photos
- Notes
If you have a question or concern, select Ask a Question next to the violation details to begin a conversation with your board.
HOA Documents & Community Information
Your association can make important community documents available through the Published Document Center.
- Documents may include:
- CC&Rs
- Bylaws
- Architectural guidelines
- Community forms
- Other association documents
Once logged in to the web portal, you can find published documents within Community Info.
Open your community Calendar to view upcoming information published by your association.
Depending on your community, this may include:
- Community events
- HOA-related dates
- Amenity reservations
- Other important activities
Your association may also send information about events and board meetings through portal notifications.
Your board can publish Frequently Asked Questions inside the Homeowner Portal.
These FAQs can provide quick answers to questions that are specific to your community, association policies, amenities, or other frequently discussed topics.
The HOA Contacts area provides a list of board members and other HOA contacts made available by your association.
You may also have access to a Homeowner Directory that lets you find contact information for participating neighbors.
Not every homeowner will necessarily appear in the directory.
Communicating With Your HOA
Once logged in, select the Conversations message icon in the upper-right corner of the Homeowner Portal.
The Conversation Center keeps your available HOA communications together in one place.
Depending on your community, this may include conversations with:
- Board members
- Committee members
- Your dedicated community accountant
When you select Ask a Question from other areas of the portal, you’ll also be directed to Conversations to begin a new message.
Have an idea that could make your community better?
Once logged in, use Make a Suggestion to send a quick note directly to your board.
This gives homeowners a convenient way to provide community input and share ideas with association leadership.
HOA Voting & Community Participation
If your association uses HOA My Way e-voting, log in and select E-Voting from the sidebar.
This feature can be used for available community votes such as:
- HOA elections
- CC&R amendments
- Other association voting
Voting opportunities will depend on what your association has made available.
Yes. Your board can create community surveys that appear through your Home Dashboard.
Surveys provide another way for homeowners to share their opinions on community topics or proposed changes.
HOA Amenities
If your community has amenities that can be reserved through HOA My Way, select Amenities from the portal sidebar after logging in.
This is where available amenity reservations can be requested and managed.
Availability and reservation options depend on your individual association.
